Welcome!
This a Megaman game which I've been working with in about 3 months. I've recently been working enough of this game to release a demo. Yay!
The demo is an introstage and an introboss long. The
release of this game is estimated somewhere around summer.
After finishing this demo, you'll recieve a bunch of extra stuff, such as information, the 8 bosses, and midis.
You can change the difficulty between Normal and Hard. I decided not too put in Easy because this game is for hardcode Megaman player for the most...however it was much easier making a harder difficulty then an easier, as the difference from Normal is more enemies and a faster attacking boss.
About the filesize - I know 12mb for this is very much. (The folder with all files and the game is zipped thats why it's 8mb) But I had to make the graphics double size, because I only have The Games Factory and if I make the game fullscreen in The Games Factory the game lags. Thank god the "Display Properties" extension exists...but sadly it doesn't work with 320 x 200 resolution.
I don't have a clue how big the full version will be. I may not be that good calculating file size, but that doesn't mean I'm a clicker n00b.
The Music: The music is midi made by me, of course. But well except for the introboss, that's mp3 made by me. More places that mp3s will take place is the 8 bosses bossmusic, last stages bossmusic, stage selection and maybe the last boss, not sure yet. I think it's important having mp3s at those places. You are at for example stage selection a whole lot in Megaman games, and when you're there, why not having a REALLY good track? I was thinking of having an mp3 at the introstage, but I changed.
Graphics: Well, it's 100% made by me, except for a colour detailed 8-bit Megaman character. I guess I don't have so much to say about the graphics...just take a look at it and comment it...thanks.
Gameplay: I tried to make this game like the old Megaman. I must say I successed, except that megaman can jump much higher here, and it takes a little while longer recovering yourself after taking damage. I decided to not change these things.
-- CONTROLS --
Shoot - CTRL default
Jump - SHIFT default
Slide - DOWN + SHIFT default
Press CTRL + Y changing the controls. (I guess the most people here already know that)
Some ending words:
Please bugreport to me...would be grateful. But you don't have to mention the ladders...I already know those can cause bugs.
Enough text now! Go download the game and play now! And hey, don't forget to have fun!
And here's a very classic line:
- I hope you like the game as much as I enjoyed making it!
Eeeeeeeenjoy!
[EDIT - YES I GOT A NEW HOST!!! THE USER "Jonas Isaksson" HOSTS MY GAME, INSTEAD OF HAVING IT AT CRAPPY FREEWEBS!! THANK YOU!!!" - /EDIT]
