If it was me making mit I would have used the winsock activex control in mmf rather than the moo extensions because then I could write my own server with its own custom functionality... though I dont see how a video tutorial would help, it would just be hard to follow unless it was presentation style.
if its a video tutorial i can just copy what they do on the tutorial, i never learn anything from tutorials which is just a game file. If you know what i mean.
I HIGHLY agree with the video method. It is an amazing way to learn if all else fails. I learned 3D Studio Max and the UnrealEd for Unreal Tournament, both thanks to video tutorials at 3DBuzz. I'd make some videos, but I hate the way my voice records.
Ditto, when I record, I sound like I'm eight or something. THat's why whenever I do voices in a game I speak really fast and slow it down. But then I can't sync it to a video, so I'm screwed.
I'll try get some video tutorials done - although I can't do voice overs, I will try and annotate the video (if Camtasia lets me do that anyway - not sure..). Would be useful for the clickzine too
