I have been working on a game for just over a year now and began to tire of it, so i took a month break. When i returned to it i realised that its laden with bugs and am having that sickening feeling that its gonna end up in the archive of unfinished projects. Does anyone else find themselves doing this or am i a mental wreck? does anyone have any suggestions on how i can stop myself from terminating a years work?
I have this problem too.
I'd start a project thinking it's pretty good, take a break, come back to it and realise it's a pile of poop. I guess it's best to keep staying with your game and not giving up or taking a break or anything. Either that or try to change it so it isn't rubbish, rather than just deleting it.

It won't be a problem if you code it right in the first place.

I think my major problem is my code, Im ok but find it hard sometimes to make it do what i want, Then i just find a way around it and that way is usually the idiots way. This then leads me to later realise that i have screwed the whole affair and i begin to weep cold, cold tears of sorrow.
