Hiya, folks. I'm posting this on behalf of a friend who's lost a steady internet connection until early August.
We're looking for a programmer/developer to work on a project that has been in development for a few years. This isn't just a dream; a lot of work has gone into the project and there is quite a bit done. So rest assured that your work won't go to waste.
The project itself is a Harvest Moon fan-game. A lot of the graphic design has been done and a movement system is in place. I'm not ENTIRELY sure what's been done, but I'm pretty sure the night-to-day system, crop growth, and tool use are all implemented. It might require some fine-tweaking (maybe a complete re-write, not sure.)
I'm not entirely sure how descriptive I can get, since I don't actually have any of it right in front of me. Feel free to ask questions and I'll answer any question. I'll direct questions to the creator himself if I don't know.
Apologies if this isn't as descriptive as necessary, but I'm not sure what all needs to be included.
I believe he ripped some, but a lot he did from scratch or editted to fit the mood. He wanted to recreate the feel of the SNES Harvest Moon, so he used some of them to keep with the general feel.
If you complete it, I would hope it'd be like HM64 or Back to Nature for the Playstation. Those are my 2 favorite Harvest Moons. HM64 would be as far as mood / graphics / no load times go, but there were a lot of awesome additions to BTN.
Good luck!

Actually, you hit the nail on the head. The general census at the forums is that the best two are Back To Nature and the original. He's done a good job of capturing that Harvest Moon feeling, which I personally feel even the new Harvest Moon games are lacking.
