I bought one way back. I went for the large one, but for some reason it didn't work, so I exchanged it for a smaller one. I wish I could try to get the larger one to work again because the small one sucks. I never use it. $100 was a lot for a twelve year-old.
They are a lot cheaper now. I remember being mad because I saw the same tablet in a magazine for $60 right after I bought mine. They're probably really cheap now. You should send all the extra moolah you'll save to me. It would go to a good cause. (Probably MMF2 or artist costs. )
Could anyone show some examples of pixel art and stuff made by one?

No I meant it for graphics...
Mmm... They're awesome for NDS(-like) games too though.
Speaking of which, any cheap, good working recommendations? I've been wanting one for a while now... Borgi, did you get yours over the internet? Model type? How well does it work? Drivers needed? USB? (Preferably I'd like one that works under both Windows AND Linux... since I use both often.)

Drawing tablets aren't accurate enough to completely make pixel art with them... Usually the design is drawn first, then resized, and then pixel-arted in detail with the mouse.
Once I get settled down into this semester I plan on putting some money aside and buying a nice drawing pad. Now I don't want to promote any high hopes, but if all goes to plan I will be using the pad to draw backdrops for a project I recently started and then keep the active objects as pixel art. This way I can put more into the graphics with less effort and with a better outcome. I believe the pad is going to help because I then will be able to work quicker and it would simply look better. The backdrops will compliment the pixel art without drawing to much attention away from the characters. However, I'm going to try and keep quiet until I have more done and to be blunt that will not happen until schools over. But if I have my way you better believe that I will make the best damn looking game this site has ever seen.
