Hey guys!

Just wondering if someone can help me with this. In my text blitter object, the character map includes all special characters needed for silly languages like German (ä,ö,ü), Czech and so on. But they don't work! My image also contains all those characters, but when I type them in the charmap preview they don't show up. Instead I get blank spaces or strange other characters. The font I used definitely supports those characters.

Can someone tell me how I can get them to work?
Thanks and have a great day

It looks like this is a bug with the charmap preview section. Extended characters should work fine if you just include them in the object's text.

...Though one further thing to note: the default text image for some reason uses a completely different character map for the extended ASCII characters than its actual listed character set. But you can get around this by just creating/generating a new image.

Yep, make sure you modify the charmap to include them

But I have noticed an issue just today- my string parser imagines, loading the same tilesets as an active picture object, have somewhat noticeably different displays. It looks almost like the string parser has a lower color palette, 256 or something instead of the normal millions. Is there any way to beef it up? My string parser images are a bit lower detail, and that can be somewhat jarring when they're used as replacement fake tiles for backdrops
