Hi. I'm making an Rpg game, and everything's going quite well, except this:
I have 4 values (strength, dexterity, intelligence and skin). What would be some good formulars to use ?
I mean, i don't want the damage the player does to be just equal to the number he has in his strength property and so on. Any good ideas ??

Aaah your looking for an ALGORYTHM... Well I wrote an article ages ago about RPGs and I talked about Algorythms and even gave an example. Well I'll try my best again but it wont be great as you really need to work on them yourself .
Lets try - (player 1)Strength x [(player1)dexterity /2] -(Enemy)Skin x [(enemy)dexterity) /3]
Try that. If it doesn't work then ask me again when I'm more awake haha.

Player attacking enemy monster. But like I said I'm not sure if this one will work as well, the one in my article had more though put in lol. The best thing to do is sometimes mess around with the values to make sure that people can't take advantage of your algorythm.
