does anybody know if it is possible for a mod or midi to play in the background then the game moves to another frame and plays a different mod but the position of the first mod is remembered so it can be continued later.
as in some rpgs
field-battle-field see what i mean?
i have tgf and have used dmc2 object a little

I was just thinking how cool that'd be.
Death in the air
Strapped in the electric chair
This can't be happening to me

Use a counter, global value, whatever you like, and set it to the "ModulePosOrder("DMC2 Object")" (or whatever you called it).
To restore the position of the music, set the ModulePos of the DMC2 object to the value you saved earlier.

I have a similar question.
How do you play a music over the frames, so that it doesn't start again when you go the next level?

You gotta stop the song, or END the bass at end of level. Try and always end the bass when you exit the game.

Noodle: I tried to get it working for a while with a "Help" section that took up several frames... the best I got was this.
Create a blank frame that sets up and plays the MOD (looping), then immediately goes to the first Help frame.
During the Help frames, leave the DMC2 Object alone so that it keeps playing. When a Quit button is pressed, that's the time to CloseModule and End BASS().

For MIDIs, use the MCI object as per this example: http://www.clickteam.com/CTforum/showthreaded.php3?Cat=&Board=fac&Number=124486&Search=true&Forum=fac&Words=MIDI%20MCI&Match=And&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=124486
