Or will I have an easier time just converting an MP3 to a .wav file??? I know there was an mp3 object on Clickteam once but they really dumbed down their downloads section since then apparently...
Why's there a star next to the Sig? What if I don't want a sig? This sucks.

There are many objects that let you play mp3's and other music types, one of the favourites being DMC2. A new one you might want to try is one by Tigs - www.tigerworks.co.uk
Also there are many tuts on this site and others about howing to use these object so you don't need to ask how to use them.

I looked on that site but couldn't find anything. I did manage to find DMC2 on google, but it is shareware so I probably couldn't release a game using it. Can you link to a specific page where a download for an object is? I've even looked here on The Daily Click, and on google several times...

I found the DMC object, and a tutorial for how to use it to play .wav files. So I tried to use it for MP3s (using the "mod" menu in the object and not the "wav" menu) but I can't seem to get it to work. You know of any good tutorials?

You have to open a stream, then play it... the list of actions you have to use:
InitBASS
OpenStream (name of file in the first dialog box, then "1" for looping or "0" to play it once)
PlayStream
When the frame ends, make sure you CloseStream and Terminate BASS, otherwise it'll keep playing.
I think that's everything...

Hmm I downloaded DMC2 but the initbass command isn't working- the game just crashes. Bass.dll is in my Windows\system32 folder. I also tried it in my windows and CNC folder (without duplicate copies) and no dice.
In the support forums someone had a similar problem and he said to make sure there aren't any extra bass.dlls. But there aren't. Any help?
