Did yall hear bout the mydoom.b virus.I heared that it attacks the microsoft page and begs you to open a attachment inside a infected email. It is also supposed to be worse than the blaster worm cause there is no patch or update.Hopefully it doesnt cause doom doom DOOMMMM!!!!!to microsoft.Little to much invaderzim humor.Just be careful on the internet(the blaster worm was enough for me).
Kenley, I love that avatar! I could watch it for hours, cos I know one of these days it will do something interesting... it has to.
Show me the power child,
I'd like to say,
That I'm down on my knees today,
Gives me the butterflies,
Gives me away,
'Til I'm up on my feet again,
I'm feeling outshined.
Yeah the avatar is awesome the first time I saw it I was like "LOL what a dumbass he just ran straight off that building... then he lands in a cool pose and I'm like whoa he's totally cool."
That's pretty stupid to open an attachment from an unknown sender. Most email thingymabobs tell you the filename of the attached file. Usually if it says something like "mydoom" and has the mysterious file extension " .b", everyone would know not to download it no matter how much the email begs you to.
I wouldn't be worried about Microsoft, they get hit by DOS attacks every day, and since when did you care about them? No, it's SCO you should be vaguely worried about, and did anyone tell them who made the virus? Hmm.
Pete, viruses spread because lots of people have no common sense. Plus, the virus spoofs the email address that it is sent from. Although I'd find it strange to get an email from one of my friends talking about Unicode attachments and Status reports.
Viruses come out all the time. Big woop. But as soon as one threatens MS' integrity it's all over the frickin' news. From what I read it's lame anyway, it just opens notepad a few times and opens a port which is no problem if you've got a firewall.
If you do get set your clocks date to anything past 14th of febuary and block TCP port 3127.
