I was looking at some website the other day 'world atlas.com'
http://worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/europe/uk.htm

Im English so i decided to find out some stuff about england.(ahh arent we small)

.the UK has a population of about 60 million people 50 of those are in England alone
11 millions of those live in London alone!

.more people live in london than scotland, wales and northern ireland put together.

.only germany has a higher population in europe with 80 million
france has about the same at 60 mil.

.the United States has a population of about 290 million incase you americans were wondering. (only china and india have a higher pop)
but Canada has only 31 million, almost half of uk population (yet it is WAY bigger)

.china has a fairly respectable 1.3 billion population!!

the most densley populated is probably japan (we all know they like tiny technology) population is about 130 million, it is bigger than the uk but is mostly mounatins (a whopping 85% of the land is mountainous so basically unusable)

the smallest countries are either,

leichenstein with 32 thousand population which is less than the amount of people that go to your average manchester united football/soccer game (their stadiums capacity is around 67 thousand.)

or the vatican which is a city in italy that the pope decided to make a seperate state from the rest of the country, it is inside rome and has a population of about 800.

I live in a county (thats county not country) called Norfolk, just above the M in birmingham on that map (the link above)
that roundish area is called East anglia ever heard of it? do you care? no, ok i will leave it at that then.

Hope you have enjoyed this geography lesson, if not sorry to waste your time.

(Greater) London's a large area and most of it's built up, hence the large number of people living there. There's probably a few thousand homeless people living in the walls of Canary Wharf...

Australia's population is around 18 million. It would be more but the middle of Australia is too dry and dangerous to inhabit. I live in Sydney, which SHOULD be the capital city, as Canberra is a whole lot of nothing.

Gosh. Only 50 people in england? that makes 59,999,950 people in the UK who don't live in England.

I knew you meant 50 million and not 50. Tigerworks either you want to poke or else we think differently in our respective countries.

Ah, Im from Denmark the small country just below Norway and Sweden and just above Germany. Our current population is about 5,2 million people. So we are not many either . However we have made our fingerprints on europe and the rest of the world.

Who do not remember the vikings? They came from Denmark and Norway primarily. And we robbed the hell out of europe . Well ... I guess that was not too kind however later on we conquered a lot like most of england, norway, south sweden and north germany. Yeah, we were quite a big nation at one point. However we lost it again ending with norway after Napoleon (you we were on Napoleons site ... how dumb can one be?) and our new border to germany after WWI.

We even had the worlds second largest fleet until the british came and bombarded us in around 1810. Oh, yeah ... the british have a rather nasty record concerning that battle. After having destroyed our ships (of which most were still docked for repairs as it was very early in the spring) they bombarded Copenhagen (our capital). That must be the first attack by a military power on civilians in the history of western civilization. Prior to that the military of one nation fought the military of another. Basically it was unheard of that you attacked civilians.

The defeat made the danish King and thereby the danish kingdom go bankrupcy. However we survived as the king invested money in the industrilization. Around 1850 we had the first railroad going from Copenhagen to Roskilde, the city with a cathedral where many danish kings and queens are buried. Also in 1848 a group of people demanded to see the king. They told him they would no longer have a king but instead a democracy. In line with our very non violent behavior in recent centuries the king gave up his power and in 1849 our first constitution was signed and Denmark was from that point a democracy.

End of story lesson...

I would like to hear something about other countries if anyone wants to tell something.
