i just downloaded a game that requires a reg key to be added. i know how you do it and all, but the reg key file (or any other registry based thingy) all come up with "Registry Editing has been disabled by your administrator". I checked my user account and it said right there, administrator. PLZ HELP ME!! IM GOIN INSANE!!

what OS are you using? are you on a network? has someone else changed the security settings on your comp?

It says "Registry Editing has been disabled by your administrator".
So it doesn't matter if you are the admin, just enable your rights.
I've no idea where, i use win98 and that os never botherd me with that behaviour.

with 98 everyone has administrative rights, as no one has more power then anyone else...

no idea whats up with the disabled editing though
