Vice-Presidential Nominee Found Dead

Joe Rueben, the Democratic vice presidential nominee on the Republican ticket, was found dead this morning with a headshot wound to the head. The shot appeared to be fired directly in his kitchen window as he sat there to enjoy his morning coffee. Rueben, the GOP pick for this unique split election, was rumored to be considering jumping the party after the election. No terrorist group has claimed any responsibility for the shooting as of yet. Although Green party extremists, whom were his opponents were in years past, are strong suspects.
"He was just lying there, as if he hadn't got enough sleep," his wife said. The police are continuing the investigation ongoing. As of right now, the GOP has not yet announced a new Demoratic replacement for Mr.Rueben. There is some speculation that they may pick one from they're own party, but that would be against '012 New Orleans convention rules.
The Democratic opponent, Nigle Corsani, denies any allegations that his party had anything to do with the shooting.
