Progress Update #5
Posted 30th Mar 09, by Poobical
Its been a long time since I updated this project =(. Sorry about that. It's because of hectic times like exams, coursework and college. Anyway progress is being slowly made. I've finished the first world: Mount Moonhead. I've taken a little picture of it as well. I'll upload a video soon of the level.

Anyway just to point out that this project isnt dead. .

(Another reason the progress has been slow is because the engine has now been ported to MMF2.)

Can't wait! I'm with ya on the MMF2 boat... I was able to zip around TGF so ridiculously fast that it even made my head hurt. And now I'm using MMF2, which is clunkier. :\ But worth it.

OMG! I was wondering where the heck you went! I was thinking if you decided to stop working on this...

Anyways, It's awesome to see more progress being made, and it's definitely impressive. Hope you like MMF2 aswell.

Interesting GFX style, looks promising, keep it up.

On the up side, now this game can be even AWESOMER!

On some other side (any of the adjacent sides or bottom side of a cube) wasn't this project supposed to stay away from MMF2 so that it could prove the power of TGF1? Or are you done coding it entirely? And is any of the code going to change?

You cannot prove the power of TGF1, compared to MMF2.

Righty. Near enough all the code (roughly 95%) has been done on TGF. Sadly TGF is slighty poo at paralex backdrops and at hiding counters. (Also MMF2 supports ogg.files and doesnt have that annoying bug that crashes the game.) (This sound bug, hard to understand unless you have seen it happen)

<br />
Those four reasons is why I need to port it over to MMF2. However the coding is still being done in TGF. (I much prefer the interface and minilistic layouts.)

Thankies for comments Image
