I've spent this entire day reviewing the events, the levels, and play testing the game...
I have sent a beta version to some friends to test it, and besides some slow performance problems, the game is pretty stable and is what I could call "Gold".
So what now ? Do I keep trying to add stuff in ? Or I start working on the campaign...
After all, is the campaign going to be that cool ?
How many levels will it have? How long to finish it?
Will it be more like metal slug or metal gear solid ?
That's a lot of questions, but I have found an answer, that answers the first of this questions...
What now ? What about not yet?
The beta version will be released on time, July 7, so the world can see what Wargame is about, and depending on the feedback, and what if people like it, I am going to do something that I thought I was not going to be able to do...
I am going to try to port Wargame ONLINE !
WOW ! WTF ! I have to port the enemy AI, to be calculated by the host, and then sent to the client, and then...just wow, this is going to be so tough !
I actually have to re make the entire navigating system, so it gets flexible online, and maybe put some performances options to set, so that people with less or more ram can experience the game without having performance issues...
Maybe set on low, doesnt pop up all the smoke and particles, just the bullet holes and shells...
I have to find servers that can host the games...Oh my god this is going to be a challenge...But what the hell, the last month I have spent making Wargame was a lot of fun !
And the result is quite fun too....So my guess is, I'm gonna roll back the game progress from 30% to 15 % and I'll keep you guys posted about the progress...
If I realize that I can't do this, then I will simply release the beta, and the original mf project so anyone can edit Wargame and make whatever they want with it...
But that will only happen if I fail, but I won't surrender so easily ! So, be ready to read a lot of devlogs, because from now On, wargame is oficialy, an Online game !
