Great glorious of gloriousness! ^___^ At last, i've fixed a bug that has been plaguing me since the beginning of this project: monsters getting stuck in walls. Originally, the Bounce command on regular monsters didn't work with the isometric style of the game, but a simple rearranging of events made it possible to work around this with an internal collision mask. So, most monsters will never get stuck in walls anymore, except for situations in which there are insanely fast monsters in a tight enclosed area. In those cases, however, some extra padding on the walls should help out.
I've also reworked the way water behaves in the game. Rather than blocking the player's progress like a wall, the player can attempt to jump over water when they have the Jump skill, but if they land in the water, they'll supposedly "drown" and return to the start of the current map. There's no health penalty for drowning in this manner.
Finally, progress on the game itself has slowed down a bit due to some problems with my drawings skillz. The next area i'm working on takes place in a large temple/palace of sorts, and i'll need to draw all of the nooks and crannies as well as the various NPC's that appear. I want this location of the game to be one of the most visually impressive, so it's going to be a pretty heavy graphical task. Suffice to say, it might take a while before I can finally begin work on the valley section and the third dungeon.
I could really use an architect right now.
