Certain areas of the game will be black and white. The goal of Tribute's character, Cat, is to try and restore his memory. And to completely heal himself. Parts of the game will be converted to grayscale. Specificly ones that have not yet been visited or memoralized. To memoralize an area, Cat must find the Site of Importance as marked, and plant a Seed Pod near it. Seed Pods will only grow near Sites of Importance, so don't annoy the Honor the Fallen Plus Booth attendants by asking for more too often. They'll make you start paying for them. The Seed Pods spring to life, showering particles and creating mental shockwaves. This seems to heal Cat more and more. And he is more than happier to keep helping as he unlocks more of himself.
Wow! I love this painting! I dont know ...it reminds me of one artist...damn i cant remember his/her name. Is this your style. its lovely. It might look childish but it works great. A bit kubini´sh
Thank you! This style will be used for all the story board scenes. As for gameplay, I don't know how much of this I will use. I most likely will use regular pixel art for gameplay. I'll probably just have some areas in grey scale and then burst them into color when a Memorial Seed is placed.
@jot: Thank you for the comment! Yes, this is how I draw sometimes. It probably just looks better because I'm using a tablet and GIMP. For the most part, though, my sketches are pretty bad. Check out my earlier project, Dual Splitfire.
(sometimes i think i talk to much. I'm going to try to cut it down some. )
