Boy am I glad we have Balloondude2 on our team. His bug testing abilities have no end, and thanks to him we might not need a hotfix for this next version. Here's the rundown:
The shovel would play the "Dig Denied" sound and dig a hole at the same time. Well that defeats the purpose of the sound, so we fixed that.
The falling code proved to be loads more difficult than we anticipated, and BD showed us who's boss. He found a bug with nearly every single item and action that would cause Link to freeze while falling down a hole. I *think* we got them all, save for one. If you've got the sword on while dashing with the boots, you'll freeze when you hit a hole. Doesn't happen if you don't have the sword on though.
Sgamer8t88 seems to enjoy mapping so I set him to work on a secret project. :@
Finally, we have everything done except Roc's Feather, Cliff Jumping, and Swimming. Sorry it's taking so long but time's become something precious and scarce.
P.S. To keep you on your toes, BD has composed a few catchy tunes for the engine. He'll probably be the composer for our fangame as well, so please give comments and criticism when you hear his stuff! Oh yeah, and here's a teaser screenshot. Surprise! GBC+ Engine 1.2 will be set on a stormy night. (Daytime rain looks a bit lighter and less bluish-purple)
