I might as well just update every time 'ere as a sort of development diary for myself. Considering not many people are reading/watching it'll still seem a mystery when I release it. About that, I'm actually thinking I might see if I can get it released on Steamworks, or at least submit it to IGF? Not too sure though considering I think Poob is not good enough for both of those. >.<
Anyway with the update, with the little feedback I got from the demo, two people said they would rather have the movement keys on WASD. So I've now given players the option:
I've also worked a bit more on the engine, I've included more death animations and most important...swimming! Yay!

And finally I've near enough finished the design for the second level, Sugarbolt Refineries. (A place where all the energy drink is made for the planet.) And the third/forth level: Thuntide.

I thought the demo was fantastic. Only real gripe was, towards the end of the cave stage as you reach sunlight for the first time it was very fiddly to jump the platforms to get out the cave.
The Jump boost/hover move is a bit inconsistent. Sometimes you get a little burst of extra jump power, other times you get more.
Otherwise, very good. I loved the first boss, although it took a bit of a while to beat him.
