One thing I think you should improve is the game overs.once you die, you go to the place with that skeleton guy and once you talk to him you teleport to the town at the beginning of the game. So then you don't lose experience and all that.

how the heck did you teleport out to town? O_O
when you die, you get stuck in Acheron, where you can't save the game, and theres *supposed* to be absolutely no way out, so you're forced to load the game from your last save point. So theres no losing experience, just returning to your last save, etc etc. But how the heck did you escape

no, I think that you SHOULD be able to teleport to the town. I was just really frustrated when I died and hadn't saved for a while. I just thought that that would be a better improvement...

oh hrmm thats a thought. Problem is that if you died during a boss fight and teleported back, it would be impossible to restart some of the boss fights, something you can only do by loading the game to before you enter (thats why you can't save during a boss fight)
maybe ill see if its possible to rewrite the boss rooms, but thats a lot of effort

well i think its fine if I just make it reset the entrance of each boss fight, but its gonna take a bit of testing. Thanks for the idea!

I notice in the new release you can return to the world but lose half your exp and gold.
I had a similar system in a recent project where once you died, Death would appear on the screen and ask if you want to make a deal for you soul, if you selected yes he would say I want x amount of your total amount of gold, but the amount was always 15% of your current gold, so if you were poor, it wasn't such a big loss early on in the game, but if you were rich or saving up for that certain item, then it was a big deal and was worth not dying and stocking up on health potions. Of course you could select not to make a deal with him and it was Game Over, to which you had to reload your save game.
As for losing exp, its an awfully mean thing to do and seems like a good punishment for dying.. but it can be terribly frustrating and unfair at times, but then it really depends on how important leveling up is in the game and how big of an effect it has (after all, this isn't an MMORPG).

well it doesn't usually mean much when you can quick save at any point in the game
