Oh, you're too funny.
Yeah, I'm still plugging away at it. I've spent too much time on it to let it die. I pray that your game is coming along smoothly, too (along with the redevelopment of your site).
Oh...
Yeah, I guess I did miss that.
So you're working with Dimond now? I was working with him before on a project, but it appeared to lose it's interest and Dimond stopped working on it, or something like that. It was called 'Maverick Hunter X: True Power'. I was gonna help out by voicing Zero for him, but seeing what's all gone on with his site, he's probably not gonna pick it back up.
But that sucks about your site, man. I thought it might have just been down for a few days or so, but damn...
Seeing as FG is down for the count, what are you going to do about your hosting? You might be with Dimond now, but something tells me that you won't be there forever. Did you have any plans for opening a new site? One that might not bite you in the butt as much?
Either way, I'm sure that your work will all be worth it in the end.
To be honest, I don't have the time to maintain a website on the scale that FG was. Maybe a site devoted to my own personal projects, something I didn't have to constantly modify or update. In the meantime, I'm just another forum bum again.

Erm... why have you used boss doors as walls.>.<!!!!!
They're just temporary walls. I needed something small and easily moveable to make the best engine testing room. Well, the boss lair doors seemed to work just fine, so that's why they're there.
And Strider, I'm just hoping for no more interruptions on your projects. Putting your projects on other forums isn't all that bad. I just want your fangame to slay most others. I've got faith that Mega Man PC will kick the most ass out of almost every other fangame out there.
When it comes to MegaMan Evolution, I like how Mega can do something that he oughta been able to do since the very beginning (Hard Man weapon ignored): beat the snot out of his enemies melee-style. That, in my opinion, is a very nice touch.
I remember reading a topic on FG before about the PC-merger game...and yeah, it may look a little sloppy, but if he/she/it can pull it off, then it deserves at least a little recognition.
I mean, you yourself are doing something that takes the Mega Man series into an awesome direction by implementing the online scores, the enhanced graphics, and the uber-unlockables. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone when I say this, but if 'Copy of MegaMan 3' has taught me anything, it's that fangames really oughta go above and beyond the norm to be enjoyed by many.
Besides, a little online competition'd never hurt anybody. Except maybe he who comes in second.
My only complaint was MME's art style. Never much cared for the MM8 sprites. Thankfully he's tossing that out for a completely original art style. Haven't seen it in action yet, but I have seen a few of the new sprites.
I've been in contact with the guy working on the PC game merger and giving him tips on how he should approach the game. Two of the biggest mistakes he made already was mixing sprite styles and not having a universal resolution. (The screen size changes from frame to frame). I think he's got that fixed now, and is going with strict NES style sprites. Hopefully with some attention in the visual department this game can come out fairly well. (I just hope he doesn't include the floating/swimming Megaman from MM3PC).
I don't mind competition at all. Makes me strive harder to be the best.
True, the MM8 sprites were rather cartoony, but at least it was better than the voice acting *twitch*.
For a moment there I was caught off guard. I could have sworn that resolution sizes were eliminated the day that Click programs invented the changeable window size. Anyway, he's shooting to use the retro NES sprites now? That would be pretty kickass. I wonder if he'll implement the cartoon series' method of weapon accrual.
Example: Mega kills Robot Master. Mega runs over to body of dead Robot Master. Player presses fire button while in melee mode. Mega grabs the weapon part of Robot Master and SHAZAAM!!!
(insert dramatic 'weapon get' sequence here)
Even if that's not in there, it'd still be pretty cool I bet.
When it comes to the competition, I remember seeing a MMX game on YouTube that someone had made...entirely in Flash. It looked like it had about a bowl or two of awesome poured into the batter. Zero could even hop into the Ride Armor! I'm so gonna make mine better than his.
Oy, it's a been a long two weeks. Just getting over being sick.
Anyways, it's ultimately up to the creator to determine what goes into the game-in-the-making. Frankly, I don't mind what goes into the game (like sprite mixing, changing resolution sizes, standard built-in engine), but if it doesn't play like the series it's based on, there's no way in hell I'll like it. I'm pretty sure that CopyMM3 makes it well apparent that it takes serious effort to put together something good. Just because someone wants to make a crappy fangame doesn't mean I want to play it.
By the way, I saw the screenshot for your Options screen. Looking pretty good so far, if I do say so myself. I changed up the HUD for MMXA, and I think it's a bit more X-ish. Instead of the solid gradient bars, I'm now using the segmented gauges from the actual games. The gauges for the reserve player are just animated a bit smaller. I hope it all looks good.
