I think user input is important in game creation and would like to show that with suggestions for slight improvements here and there. User input is gladly welcomed, but don't be discouraged or upset if your idea is not used. Credit will be given where it's due, of course!
Suggestions so far:
Del Duio
-More challenging Dracula
-Keep the original day to night text, but only use it once for the nostalgic value
When I'm ready, I'll be posting a list of positions that will get the users involved in the game creation so that we can all contribute in some way. This game was "technically" a classic and I'm looking to bring out the best of it's qualities with this remake.
Thanks guys!

Which style of remake are you going for? Pixel perfect "port" or a re imagining of sorts, like Metroid Zero Mission was to the NES Metroid?

@Shab, I looking for a "Metroid Zero Mission" remake of sorts. You know, give it a face lift. If all goes well and it's nice, then I'll probably do a direct NES port in all it's NES glory, with various fixes Konami didn't put in the original. Shame on them. u.u
Was there something you wanted to see, such as a direct port (MMF2-ized) or perhaps wanting to know what this was about?
@Sire, the original did not have 8-directional whip attack. As where that COULD be put into the game, it's not something I was looking to add to this remake. I know the 68k Simon can do 8-direction attacks and has the animations for it, but I just don't see it as something to put in. If I ever do another Castlevania game, who knows.

@JesseP
Yes, please do something about the horrible leveling system in the original.

I just hope it feels a lot more solid than the original, and fix some of those stupid puzzles - like that famous one where you have to kneel down while holding something and wait for a tornado.
I'm stoked for this game by the way!

Thanks all.
Sorry there's been no word from me about this. I've come to a halt due to some real life stuff I have to take care of, but for the most part, I have not dropped it and am not leaving it to die. I still have a great interest in it, but I have to finish up some other projects I have on my plate that are a lot easier to deal with for the time being.
Also, once I get more familiar with certain engines, it'll be much easier for me to develop the game. I'll report back on the status of it sometime next month.
@alastair, I plan on doing a "work-around" for those puzzles that you just can't figure out because the game was very cryptic. Most will stay in the game, but will be majorly improved with hints along the way. Plus, the towns people will be a lot more helpful!
