The Daily Click ::. Downloads ::. Review Review: Splinter Source
First of all, this is how I like to clickgames: a good engine in combination with great level design and good graphics. Presentation: Presentation is good, the menu and title screen are well made, I like what you did with the end screen. Also the Style is very 'Splinter Cell' Gameplay: The movement engine is perfect; I didn't have any problems at all. Just as a movement should be! Also it's good that you didn't use a lot of buttons, the efficient use of the CTRL and the SHIFT is very professional Graphics: The game doesn't have 400 different objects is one level, but still the environment isn't boring. All the objects are nice drawn, and logic. Sound and Music: The sounds are well chosen and suit the game. The music is good too, with an exception. But I won't judge on that, because it still sounds pretty good. Lastabillity: I hoped this was just a demo of a game with 10 levels, but it's really great how much fun you put in one level. I really like the level design. It's better to have one good level design instead of 3 levels that are way too logic and boring. Overall: This game is a good 'fangame' of Splinter cell, although (besides of the noise detector and the great use of the Black-green combination) it could have been just another stealth platform game. I like the way the level design meets the possibilities of the hero. "Hanging on a bar, shooting down to kill the first guard and jump on the second one in the same second" Really nice! So overall I must say this is a great game. The only thing I can remember to spoil this review is to say, that some more levels would make it better. But try to name a game for which this isn't true. So thanks for this nice stealth platform game!
