I posted this engine not only to demonstrate psuedo 3D, but I posted it because I need help with something. Notice how if you scroll left & right at the edge of the window, the parralax objects work their way to the window . They won't stay in correct perspective...
Anyway, tell me what you think of my "simple" work.
(this is a gutted level from an upcoming game of mine. notice I forgot to delete the crosshair object.)

I don't think that there's a cure for the problem you described other than not allowing the camera to ever get anywhere near the edge of the frame.

It's looking pretty decent, though!

problem solved. I think. I just set the detectors to kill the scrolling a little late. 315 pixles instead of the perfect 320. (window is 640 width) So they have some time to correct themselves. It seems to work good.

i still see a problem. when you go across the whole screen then come back there is a tree in front of you whereas when you start there isnt. the perspective is still off even with the 320 to 315 change.

the game is running on "Machine Independant Speed" perhaps it's different on each comp? ...crap I wish I knew how to fix it...
