Ok, I don't know if this is the best place to ask this, but, can someone explain me how do Maglev trains work? I know something about magnetic levitation by repulsion: if there is a rod, and you pass circular magnets with a hole in the center through it, they will float on top of each other, because the rod keeps them in that position. But what keeps the trains in their position, how are they stabilized?

I thought this was gonna be about fake levitation, like what David Blaine does. I can do that easy, I dunno what the fuck you're on about with that shit though.

As a boy, I wanted to be a train. I didn’t realize this was unusual—that other kids played with trains, not as them.

Why should the shadow change its size? Assuming the light source is the sun, the rays can be considered parallel, which would mean shadows stay the same size. If the light's coming from some sort of lamp, of course, then you're right.

I heard those trains would get you from London to Glasgow, which is the longest distance a train travels in britain in about an hour and a half, whereas the trains we currently have would take you about six hours. I think they are already in use in Japan.
What i just wrote is probably not true.
