I made a nice little animation that sits at the top of the screen, What i want is for there to be around 4 or 5 of the same objects but running at different speeds.

So i use spread alterable value to give them a unique number and a different animation speed based on whatever number they have.
When i test this they all stay the same speed.

Infact it wont change even if there is only one object.
Does this 'change animation speed' function even work?
oh yeah, im using The games factory.

Tsk, Tsk Andy, you should know that doesn't work. It doesn't even work in fusion. I'm pretty sure that extension that CB made to fix this only works in fusion too.

As far as I know, the 'change animation speed' command has never worked. That's why the Change Animation Speed Object http://click.spatang.com/ext/view.php?ext=227 was made.

'Course, it's only for MMF...

You might be able to fake the effect by putting the different frames of the animation in different directions, then telling it to cycle through at different speeds.

I always thought it worked in TGF. Guess I was wrong.

what kind of routines do they have over there at clickteam? Don't they even test the functions they implement?

No. They just expect extension develepors to do it all.

I never knew it was common knowledge, and assumed there was some sort of workaround.

I can still just make different objects at differing speeds, its just that the game will be about 15k or so bigger.

This is really odd since that very function has always worked in TGF for me. I am not kidding. I tried it again last time the topic was up (thats pretty long ago). I havent tried it in MMF that I currently have, perhaps I should.

everybody knows the change anim speed action has never worked in TGF nor MMF. It's stupid that they didn't fix it for MMF when they knew that it didn't work. Or did they?...

Strange, could it be a difference between 16 and 32 bit or normal and pro versions? or even ones without the newest versions?

anyway ive not doing that anymore.

Well ... for my part I tried it with TGF 32bit normal updated to version 1.06 (the newest patch ever concieved). I still own TGF, never sold it, so I could easily try it again.

Well, a workaround exists . But only for MMF 1.5 . There is the Change Animation Speed Object , made by Firemonkey ...

When I think of it really hard, I dont really recall it to not have worked ever while owning TGF, but it is possible I did not use it in the beginning but first later on with a patched version.

Is there any way to pause an animation? Even with the Change Anim Speed Object when you change it to 0 it still moves (but very slowly).
