Me and Liquixcat have been planning to do a game. Here is a bit of the story:
"The fight between cats and dogs have been going on for thousands of years. One day, the dogs leader, Dr. Dogtor, decides to defeat the cats, by taking over their leaders mind. To do this, he would need to use a mind controling device.
The device can only take over weak minds, so Dr. Dogtor have break the leaders spirit before he can take over his mind.
But the cats spirit was stronger than he thoguht, and each enemy he killed lightens up his spirit a bit."
The game will be a platform-shooter, where you're in control of the cats leader, and have to face the challenges, Dr. Dogtor puts him to.
There will be about 3-4 weapons, upgradable 3 times, through menus.
The game will consits of 3*3 levels + 3 bosses, and many secret areas. You will also be able to upgrade your jump height, and running speed.
The game will be relatively non-linear, with a map, so you can go back to previous worlds. The game will also have many secret areas
This is not just an idea, the main engine is about 30% done. We currently have 2 programmers and a music composer, but we don't have an artist. So, we're looking for an artist to team up. Here is a couple of examples of our previous work:
This game will be freeware, so you will not get paid. We're doing it as a hobby
This will be a rather large project, but Me and Liquixcat have almost 10 years of programming experince together, so we think it can be done. We estimate it to take 6 months or so, only reply if you're able to be active in that period. We're not looking for someone who will deticate himself 100% to the game, though.

un-original storyline. I was planning on a game like this once titled Mutts n Mogies. Never finished it though because that annoying Cats & Dogs film was released and it looked like a cheap copy. Also, in a real life situation dogs totally whoop cats arses. In my garden the Cats run from the dogs. Apart from a rather daring siamese thing last year.
Cats rule. Dogs are big, loud and can bite, but everyone knows that the average cat can beat up the average dog.
I made a l33t translator in mIRC once. Worked annoyingly well.
