Can't you just use "Object is getting close to window's edge" and enter something like 0?

yes, however the objects tend to dissapear slightly before going off screen.

it uses the hotspot value to decide whether it's out the window or not, so -10 would make it destroy +10 pixels in one side and -10 on the other.
at least thats what i remember about it.

Just put some sensors outside the area that destroy it and uncheck follow the playfield for them. simple enough.
