Basically I started work on this again when MMF2 came out. Since then we have got some online tests going. Here is all the material i have on battalion (screenshot wise). Please excuse the non-full screenness of the beta shots and the ugly chat interface will all be nicer when the coding is done.
Heh sorry DaVince - Yeah its getting on pretty quickly seeing as i\'ve only been working on the code for a few days. Weeks of paperwork though and years of practise.
The graphics are made by my artists (1 active one right now ) HE uses blender, which i also use.
Me and the testers are playing online with each other... so there should be some stuff for the public quite soon.
Those ship models look like oversized auroran fighters from EV Nova minus the texturing.
Something you didn't tell us--what sort of game is this, exactly?
(By the way, forcing people to register before they can read even the 'announcements' forum is going to scare off more people than it compels to join.)
Ooops sorry i didn't reilise about the forum problem. PHPBB is not that user friendly .
That ship was made by my GFX artist "Piro" -
Thats the render of it close up. Although he will be doing more speed modelling now since the ships are so small. And yeah i liked EV Nova
The game is pretty much an MMORPG set in space. So basically you register your username and password and you can create a character into one of the space races. There is alot more to it than i would like to say right away, partly to keep some things secret until the release and partly because i'm not exactly sure what will and won't be included in the initial release
The graphics are really impressive, but is the game itself cool? Can you handle the Moo objects? It's pretty hard to do it right, eliminate lag and stuff.
Heh i've been using moo for 4 years - so im hoping this project can be the fruit of my learning
Yeah the dead reckoning system is the best part so far, i'm pretty pleased with it as it is but i have even more optimizing to add to it. But yeah i'm no expert so it takes me time to do small things
