I'm seriously angry. I've been working on this stupid competition game ever since the start, devoting hours of each day to it. Now, the main ingame level is corrupted. I've fixed it multiple times, but then it corrupts again. I'm not sure if I should continue this.
I would post the latest working build here, but I've gotten no response from my DCmails about if we're allowed to this time.
Don't you have any backups? I always have about 4 backups on every .cca file that I am working on and I save/overwrite them in a continuosly order so that they are all different.
I didn't learn that before something similar to what happened to you happened to me though so if you don't get your game back then just learn from it and keep alot more backups.
So you want us to decide if you're to quit the community just because your games corrupted? I haven't recieved any DCMails from you by the way, but you've still got time to make a game. Don't quit.
YAYS I fixed it. I can't see any of the actions from my old events BUT IT WORKS. That just means I can only add things to the game, and edit the graphics. No editing the ingame level. Better than nothing though!
I've had many, many years of stuff like this happening to me - mostly from the old Games Factory era - limit bugs etc, but plenty in Fusion too.
When a fusion/tgf game becomes corrupted somehow the problem never really goes away, you must copy objects into a fresh new project (open a whole new Fusion2 alongside) paste them in and then paste in your code - this may result in sound effects going missing, to solve this paste the entire "corrupt" level in as well (and delete after).
All this might sound patronising if you have already done it but yes, I learned the hard way to "save as" every 5 minutes, clickteam software fucks up ALOT(you have to take the rough with the smooth). Any game i'm working on that I remotely care about ends up with thousands of different backups lol
Good luck and let me know if you want me to check the file out myself.
Remember you are not alone, this has happened to alot of us!
