Yes, they are sensative to severe temperature changes, although they have pretty bad eyesight usually.

Aww
we used to have hamsters but they were the type you couldn't keep together... which ones can you put together? I'd love a little hamster colony in the Study or somewhere.

You can usually keep dwarve hamsters together, I only keep them . I tried the normal ones (syrian)the other year and they really are evil when theyre not tamed.
Having said this my brothers rabbit bit right through his fiancé's finger the other day

Ive wanted to get a pet for a while. A hamster seems like a good choice except i have no room, and they're nocturnal which is no fun at all. I like to sleep at night.

The sleep and are awake at totally random times. They're awake right now at 9.39 but they'll be asleep again in like 10 minutes.

My uncle had two dwarf hamsters once, but one was completely spacked up - so much so that it ATE THE OTHER ONE!!! LOL
And it'd go mental and make noises and do backflips and all sorts for no reason and just go lethally nuts :S So they had to put it down, haha

I love hamsters. My brother had one but he brought it to school one day. The teacher threw it away because it ended up having 4 broken legs.
