I haven't listened to KlikCast yet, but it probably means you can export your games as Java applets and play them on Macs via a Java-enabled web browser.

Ok, I just listened to it: He definitely said "a Java version of the interface", so I guess that's what they mean. Java Runtime is what I explained before.

Nono. Java is universal, once the Java runtime is released you'll be able to play games off any Java (with the right specifications) enabled machine.
What Francois was talking about is MMF2 running on OSX with Java.

I'd like that but my mouse under OSX is horrible when doing pixel art. I'm using a very high DPI mouse with buckets of artificial 3rd party acceleration added to it. Meh!

Wonder if Java would allow it to run on PPC as well as Intel Macs... HMM.

Wait a minute...why would Mac users want MMF2? It takes hard work to use MMF2...and it won't wipe your ass for you, so I don't think Mac users would be interested.

... Perhaps for people like me and James who use macs and MMF2?

Love it when someone who obviously doesn't know what they're talking about lectures me about what I want.

EDIT: Unless, of course, this is a well humoured joke at the attitude of mac zealots ._.

It will also work on Linux and basically any other OS that is popular enough to have Java.
Also as the CC says Mobile Phone games will be possible.

I think Windows, Mac and Linux covers almost everyone . Unless they use like... Solaris or something. (does that have java?)

I wonder if Solaris by Sun had Sun's Java. NAH!
Also there are many other OSes which aren't so known but relatively somewhat popular.

;_; you're mean LIJI, Solaris is unpopular so I don't know anything about it

Ruined my edit there too, I was gonna say web applets work great on Mac except there's no sprite transparency...

Of the people I know with Macs and myself, we get them because a systems behaviour doesn't interfere with the workflow the simplicity is welcomed (to me at least) in a professional or studio environment. I found, so I got my own.

Also Mac and other Unix-like system are much stable than Windows and don't have Millions of Viruses because it's mostly impossible to make viruses for them.

It was a well-intentioned joke, playing on the fact that Macs are so user friendly, no harm intended.

But really, ultimately, Macs are a bit TOO user friendly. I like fighting viruses and spam, its what makes life worth living.

I do fight spam. The mail blocker is good but I still get 1/10th of spam emails seeping into the inbox.

Heh. I did miss looking after my computer once I got my Mac. I used to love tweaking it to get a bit of speed back, defragging and all that. It was a nice thing to do. YASU sort of helps but it's just a shallow shortcut to activating OSX's own cleaning tasks. Yea.
