Is there a way, either using global events or external applications, to play a music or sample sound throughout different frames? Like if you have a level that starts out with a song, and then once completing an objective, jumps to a cutscene. I don't want the music to cut out and begin again.

Aha, good, then it's verrry easy. You just gotta change a setting somewhere in the application properties, think it's called 'Play sounds across frames' or something similiar. P: I don't really remember whut exactly, as I don't have the demo anymore, lol. But you should be able to find it.
Just enable that, and then the music shouldn't stop when you switch frame.
What did I win?

You might want to add a 'play the tune if it's stopped' in the 2nd frame though since it wont always repeat once finished since the event isn't there to repeat it.
