Hello all.

Bought the MMF2 Developer a while back, and have tryed all the the tutorials i can find (+bought 2 books). I also started making a full game myself, but i found out that my project was WAY ower my head. So thats on hold for the moment. Will start small this time

I have been trying to find some open source games to look at, to learn more. Problem is i have downloaded loads and loads of games in the download section - but many dont work at all.

I feel i learn more from looking at code (and then try), then reading about them. Maybe since my english isnt that good, the "show dont tell" fits me best.

If anyone have some easy coded games, i would loooooove if i could peek at the source. It dont have to be complete games, or have good graffics. I just want to learn and understand more of how to script.

What will i use the source to if i get any? Look and learn of, and hopefully make a few stupid but fun levels/games for my family.

Best regards
THE Noob.

I don't really understand stuff until I do it myself. Have you looked at the premade games that come with mmf, like Zeb? Here's the disorganized code for my current project. http://www.esnips.com/doc/79a56027-6c48-47e1-be61-fd605eb3b202/Early-stuff

Hai! I'm an advocate of open-source projects as well.

Here you can find several of my games open source (MMF 1.5) including a GOTW winner

Here's a site with lots of tutorials, all commented, so it will be easy to understand:

Here's a forum section on clickteam's forum where many people upload interesting new stuff, though not all are real examples:

I've got various puzzle game sources that I can give you to look at. Most aren't done, but the basic gameplay works. DC mail me if you want them; and I'll try to comment them up a bit (My code is usually completely uncommented, or commented in a way that only makes sense to me).

Hello Andy.

It not so easy to put it in one genre.

I want to make a kidgame.

Let me try to explain how i picture the kidgame: Think of a picture of a children park (cartoon style), with an area around with trees, water, buildings+++.
There is alot hidden minigames, that you will find when you mouse-ower the picture.
Examples:
Click water - minigame of fishing?
Click mountain - minigame with rockclimbing (vertical scroller or plattform?)
Click a house (your home) - different rooms have different activites: dress up barbie, puzles, play the piano, make food in the kitchen+++
Click on shop - buy stuff (learn math)
Click on restaurant - timemanagment game? (but easy timer since its for young kids).
other stuff can be: build a sand castle in the sand, a bike or car-race, explore a cave, use the rollercoaster+++

If i find enough ideas i can also make it so there is diffent activites at different times of the year. At winter there could be ice-skating, building a snowman,+++

The ideas are endless.

My idea was to add more and more stuff as i learn more, or get new ideas. Since this game is only ment for family kids, and their friends there is no timelimit. I can add stuff as often as i like.
Hopefully the kids will just think its fun to try ower and ower agein, if each time they discover something new they can do.

So this will be my learning project, but hard to put it in a catagory since the consept is different minigames of all types.

Sorry that i explain rather poor, but my english grammar sucks + i cant allways find the words i am looking for.

You're right! Apparently the files didn't upload correctly. I'll reupload them!

EDIT: strange, I just reuploaded the file but for some reason the uploaded result will simply not work while the original zip file does work... Gimme a while while I try to fix this.

EDIT 2: Okay, I reuploaded again after deleting them from the server first. The files now unpack correctly! Also, here's a third link with some random stuff and their sources:
