I use a PC with Windows XP SP2 at work. There are multiple user accounts on this computer. The computer also has Windows Live Messenger installed. I once logged onto it with my hotmail account but DIDNT click the \"remember me\" box since it is a shared computer and I don\'t want anybody at work to use my hotmail account. So if you start Windows Live Messenger now my user name WON\'T get displayed there since I didn\'t tell it to remember me on this computer. Here is my problem: On the windows start up screen where you can select your user account it tells me I have got 2 New E-Mails in my hotmail in box so 1) it gets informations from my inbox which you can even click on and check 2)it displays my hotmail user name so everybody can see it.
I never told it to remember me. Where does WINDOWS get those informations from? I\'ve only entered my hotmail in Windows Live Messenger which I\'ve already installed yet Windows has those informations saved somewhere.
Question: How can I delete those informations?
no my problem is: logged onto msn/windows live at work and win XP saved my hotmail email address. so when you are at the user log in screen in XP it shows my email address and how many emails ive got in my hotmail inbox.
i dont want people to know my hotmail address which they can now see on the win user log in - how can i delete that?

I don't know how but I think you have to remove that update. Sounds like thats your culprit.
oh gee. i should have disabled updates then. i guess ill just delete my account and create a new one. thx windows for being gay.
can i actually post questions on the microsoft knowledge base? ive never tried that.
oh I see... there IS a "forget me on this computer" selection somewhere..!
try going on "use another address" and typing in your email address again and dont check 'remember me'.. but there's definitely a box that has that.. maybe try installing MSN messegner and then using that to forget you - it has a link to do that on the main sign-in box. hope that helps.
yes there is a box called REMEMBER ME
and i DIDNT check it so MSN doesnt remember me. ive tried it. didnt know who i was. regardless XP remembers me without even having ever asked.
