I just downloaded and started using the Newer WebBrowser based on Firefox called "Flock" http://www.flock.com/
it seems amazing so far and looks and feels like a much better browser than any i have used before. anyone else use flock? or have an opinion about it. any problems i should know about?
I know it's based on firefox, I'm guessing the interface and features are different to FF while the rendering engine remains the same. Have you used Firefox before to give a comparison?
i've been using firefox for years.
the interface is a lot more sleek. its pretty much the same just a lot better looking and some extra features.
its sexy as hell. one problem i had with firefox is it would randomly stop responding every so often.
i'm hoping i don't have that problem with flock. haven't so far.

I'll give it a shot, but I don't know why you're having problems with FireFox randomly stopping, plus... remember, FireFox has themes. Sexy as hell, is a matter of theme.
well i don't know about themes for flock. but it most likely does.
as for sexy as hell. the default skin for flock is better than the default for firefox imo.
as for stopping randomly. firefox just "stops responding" and it never recovers. i have to close it and restore my session. and this happens on my laptop and my desktop. even after uninstalling and reinstalling.

That's weird. I know FireFox will stop responding for a few seconds when I click to download something and it's being added to my download list. I think that's just because I never clear it out though, so it might have something to do with that. As far as themes go, if Flock was built off of the same engine FireFox uses, it should by nature, have skins. Netscape did.
it actually does. although there are none available yet as it is fairly new. it uses the same "add-ons" feature under "tools" to download themes from flock.com just like firefox does.
oh also about the "stops responding"
it also does it on linux distributions for me.
so i just assumed there was a bug in the newer 2.x versions. cause it never used to happen to me before.

Yeah, I don't know. I use FireFox 2.0.0.13 and again, I have no problems. Neither does anyone else I know. That's strange.
