So yesterday my computer started making a ticking noise
apparantly it's a sign of hard drive failure.
Had this baby for about 5 years.
I know I needed a new one, but before I had no time limit.
Now I have to get some money before it dies
I realise I could buy a new harddrive, but my computer's so old it'd probably just continue breaking. It can't even play full screen flash things without slowing down loads.
Anybody else have tales of woe about their computers?

tl;dr: my computer's about to die of harddrive failure. Post your computer death related stories here.
A few years back my entire computer just shut down man, i took it to some nerds and they said i had 12,000 viruses man! TRUE STORY MAN! but they fixed it for me and i still use the same computer man.
Oh dear, a HDD failure is a rubbish thing to go through. I was painstakingly working on a 5 minute HD video on an old laptop (1.5ghz G4! eek) and was using an external HDD as a scratch disk. Yea that drives pretty much gone now. Still works but its very slow and VERY EFFIN LOUD.
My room is under a bathroom and something in the plumbing went horribly wrong. I was playing Caesar III when water from the ceiling came pouring down, soaking my computer (I had it on my desk). I unplugged it and waited 3 days before plugging it back in. I was surprised to find that my computer survived, but the monitor was ruined.

Wish my keyboard was as lucky. Knocked a can of Pepsi on it, took the batteries out, rinsed with water and left wrapped up behind a radiator for a day. The thing was buggered and the worst bit was the bluetooth part still works. Connects to my computer fine and dandy! So I've got a working bluetooth radio at least.
