maybe i missed it somewhere, but whats going on with the java runtime beta? the last beta (beta#5) said that the final release would be "in a few days" which never happened and now i get my mmf2dev and try and download the latest java runtime beta (or at least i think its the latest cause theres no link at the top of the clickteam thread about a newer one) and the topic is locked and the links are no longer valid.
any one have any idea? insight? links? news?

Build 248 is finalized, but the actual Java Runtime Environment is considered beta because it currently only supports 12 extensions.

not having all the extensions converted doesnt mean its still in beta. it just means they havent converted the extensions. they wouldnt include it in an official build if it was still in beta. "beta's are for testing purposes only."

Ok then, look at this:
The same statement in its original context:
http://www.clickteam.com/epicenter/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=101362&fpart=5
So that is why it is still beta.

i see. that goes against what they say on the forums. why include it in an official build release if part of it is still in beta?

Tomorrow i'll do some experimenting with this!
Does this build allow you to create .Jar files? Because i think that the one you need if you plan to play click games on various devices.

Yes it does, MMF2 Standard lets you build Java Applets (.jar) and Java Webstarts, and MMF2 Developer lets you build those as well as Java Applications.
