I use FL Studio and it's fantastic. However, if you don't want to spend money I'd recommend looking into a MOD tracker like ModPlug Tracker.

I like Modplug tracker.
you can easily open up any mod,xm,it file and have a look (or even steal samples if you're naughty)

This thread interests me. Can somebody very kindly tell me the benefits and drawbacks of FLStudio? I don't want to look at their websites since they'll just gloss everything up to ensure i buy it (and with me, it works!)
