I'm bored. See, the chat client? Barely anyone's ever in it. Problems previously stated by other:
-The flash client sucks.
-Other IRC clients can't connect.
-Other people go there and afk so there's no one to talk to.
-There's never anyone in there to even be afk.
And my complaint is that the thing on the side doesn't update fast enough. It sometimes says that there are two people in there, and I go in to find I'm the only one there.
So maybe what we do is either:
a) Make a Vitalize! or Java client that connects to the DC database like the old one did, but make it actually connect, and add more features such as one-on-one chat, private chat, and categorized chat rooms like on the forums.
or
b) Make a chat embedded in the site, similar to Gmail or Facebook, so that others can talk on any page and it remembers the chats as you move to other pages, maybe even going so far as to save chats.
I'd do the client myself, but I have three problems: the moo.create-games.com doesn't work half the time, I'm not really experienced enough to make one, and I have no access to the database.
In addition, maybe we can make buddies worth something. All they're for right now is easier mailing and checking if someone's active, which you could do by looking at the actives page. I don't know what you'd do to make it worth something, but you could probably think of something.
Yeah, I'd log on to the client, but my firewall (ahem, bugged router) won't let me access it. And the server kicks me out a lot.
I do like idling there. There are some interesting strangers there
I like the Facebook system, though.
