I am an artist and animator, and I was wondering if anyone would like to collaborate with me in order to create a game that is composite of at least 70 percent awesome. Primarily, I will need at least one programmer to get this thing out of the proverbial ass. That is my only necessity. I am, however, very happy for more artists, musicians, programmers etc to help out-in which case a team system will be put into place and the best in their designated field will be the leader of their team and will oversee what crap goes into this mother. Reasonable, lenient deadlines will be set in order to keep this thing running, as too much slackage will not be tolerated.
Also, if you hadn't noticed, I have no concept for said game yet....uhh...I was hoping perhaps the TDC community would help me with that also. I would like the game to be simple yet fun, as I would like to spend more time on something smallish rather than rush a long-term project. I know it's probably a bit cheeky of me to ask of you so much, aswell as getting you to actually think of a basis for this game, but as I'm not a programmer, I do not know what is easy, difficult and downright impossible for one such programmer to acheive, so I would like to rely on them to set themselves a reasonable game concept that they feel is possible.
Here are some references from me as an artist. These are but some of the art styles I am happy with working from-and most of these images are quite old, so if what you see does not appeal, do not allow it to form your opinion on me artistically.
Most of the images can be enlarged by clicking on them.
Don't you have any examples of an animated sprite, aside from that one?
I'd sort of need a sprite artist, but in a while, like 6 months from now, because I have a lot of other things to do just to stay alive right now. I'm happy to help teach people to program stuff, though, but not actually program it for them, so if you want to code something but have trouble, I'd be happy to help
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
I have, but it's just another guy doin the same crap. But all I need to do is animate whatever needs animating and pixelate the frames. All the cool kids are doing it! And that's a fantastic offer, but my sh*tty laptop can't handle programs like VB etc. Also, I'd rather stay in the art/animation/music fields so as to not lose focus on them and drop in quality. Thanks anyway!
I don't think Muz means VisualBasic, I think he means TGF/MMF however I believe he knows proper write-up coding, not just event/condition/action-based.

In your brief sort of "resume/portfolio", you have made a mistake of making a weakness into a strength. If you feel that these are old images and not up to your current standard or skills, you've damaged your impression already and you should have posted your most recent, strongest work. You may also find more luck offering yourself as an artist if you find someone who is currently looking for one or you present an idea or concept with some art to go along with it to interest other game creators in working with you.
