I've been searching high and low for people who compose video game music as a hobby, either for free or as commissions. As an amateur composer myself, i've been wanting to get some inspiration from other composers so that I can either improve my songs or collaborate with someone on some original tunage.
I'm sure that some of you have already dug around the internet when looking for cool music for your klik games, so would you happen to know of any really sweet composers out there? Oh, and yes, i've heard of vgmusic.com and have visited them on a regular basis, so no worries there.

Check my sig. Mod archive is the best resource for video game music and composers in my opinion.
You also get the added benifit of a low file size due to the nature of the module music format.

Ooh, nice! I've already found several songs that are really catchy. Might even find a few artists willing to do a collab or commission. 'Fcourse, I stink at composing MOD music. I've tried in the past and never got the hang of ModPlug Tracker or any of the other tools out there. D:
Any other good sites out there for musics?

I feel compelled to do some shameless self promotion. I don't think anybody has ever used my music, but since I create games and I create music as well I guess you could say I do video game music
I create my own music for all my games.
Here is some music in .ogg format (most modern audio players can play this). The files called JEFFGRAH... were supposed to be used in a mod for DooM but the guy responsible dropped the project.

Here is some music I'm working on this year. It's unfinished.

OMG! And he's Swedish too, which is totally ironic because that's where i'm currently living.
And Eviscerator, I really like your use of guitars in your tunes. Definitely leaning towards rock/metal there.
Keep 'em coming, folks!

Davince and Mr. Pineapple do music too.
You can hear some of Davince's music in my game Arnold's adventure and Mr. Pineapple makes music for Tomrmishire and his recent remake.

Great suggestions so far.
Does anyone know of any composers who lean more towards a Mega Man style of song writing? The Mega Man games have some of the best and most memorable video games songs i've ever heard, and i'm a sucker for that kind of old-school action tunage.

Oh i'm still reading alright. x3 Getting tons of inspiration with these suggestions!
AndyUK - Woot, that's Gecko Yamori. I've heard some of his stuff before on VGMusic and Overclocked. He makes some awesome tunage, though I haven't heard him compose anything that's 100% original.
Anyway, i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one who could benefit from a list of active composers, so keep 'em coming!
