Have you heard of this game? It's frontpaged on TIGsource, and causing quite a ruckus. The game itself is a simplistic shmup. The twist lies within the fact that each alien represents a random file on your HD, and if you decide to kill an alien it deletes said file, being killed by the aliens causes the app to be deleted. Interesting concept or pretentious, malware-bull?
I don't know, but I rather it been created than not.
ps. it's supposedly mac-only, but I don't know since I haven't tried it obviously ds.
yes, theres MANY games in the past that work by 'deleting files', and that TDC one is just one example (even that wasn't original, bear in mind). And interesting I've noticed that almost all of them are horrible gameplay space ship shmups. Heck, that one doesn't even have enemies programmed to fire on you. Instead the whole selling point of that game is that its all supposed to be 'deep' and 'insightful' and 'introspective' and that baloney, because the game is supposed to mirror how violence in real life causes lose/lose situations or whatever.
...having said that, I think the concept has potential as a multiplayer game - it would be quite nice to be able to mess up someone else's computer by beating them in a video game

Yes that would be fun! It'd need a practice mode though.
