The girlfriend dragged me into it once but I couldn't get into it. I did some thing where my character followed hers around and it got EXP from her battles, which I thought was a nice touch for an MMO.
Sorry I guess that doesn't help much!
If I was looking for a free MMO, I'd be more inclined to play Cabal, which I already do from time to time with my friend. I used to love PristonTale before they made it P2P and now it's abandoned and we all patiently waited years for PristonTale 2 to be released in the USA. Doesn't look like it's happening anytime soon though, so I personally just sort of forgot about it until now.
I'm interested in that new Star Trek Online game, if for no reason but to see whether or not they messed it up. Chances are they did, hopes are they didn't. I'd like to consider myself a trekkie, and the idea of an MMO taking place in the Star Trek universe is very appealing, but when I think about how it would actually play out, I can't actually see it working out.
I realize this is an old thread, but flyff blows cabal out of the water.
Sadly flyff kinda sucks in the later levels. Keeping a full party was near impossible since international players tend to play for 10 minutes then quit. Also finding a ringmaster thats worth a damn is hard. It would be one of the best mmorpgs out if you could actually solo later on in the game. I love the music.
I think I got to 7x in like a few weeks to a month and met a good friend of mine there. I worked up to 78 and quit because of the stupid system and went and played RO with said friend. RO = win
