I once bought what I thought was a great deal on a "Pocket PC", but when I got it, it turned out to be a Pocket PC keyboard. Wasted a good $25. The reason I thought it was a handheld was that it had a picture of one for the product image... with the mini keyboard on it . Now I plan on getting myself a cheap Dell Axim X5 for Xmas.

I'd recommend against that old of a model. I have an old pocket PC someone gave me for free. It was really cool, but the more years go by, the harder it is to find programs compatible with PPC OS 2002. Everything's Winmo now. I pull out the ol' PPC every once in a while, but I never find anything to use on it anymore. (It's old, so when the battery gets bonked out you lose all programs--I have none of the stuff I did manage to find left.)
Awesome! I've got an age old PPC too, some Toshiba thing. Wanted a laptop for school but all I could afford was a PPC, then was given a laptop a few months after .
Hey have you played Swapper? That's a 2002 OS game and just a bit addictive.

Haha, I know I've clicked the "X" on a screenshot (which happened to be my desktop BG) trying to close it before- I think I ended up restarting my computer because I thought it was frozen.
Oy... not one of my brightest moments.

It's pretty much all I can afford. Besides, I like old PC's and I probably won't do that much on it. If it can write, play Snake and keep pics of my cat on it, then it's OK.

Oh, and no, I haven't played swapper because I've never had a pocket PC. I've only borrowed my friend's handheld.

Used to have a PalmPilot that did the same thing. It's the lamest thing ever, and it's not like a company could boast "Oh yeah, and if you accidentally run out of batteries when you're out and about, YOU LOSE EVERYTHING ON IT!"
I have done that so many times. I remember once when a link to meatspin was posted on a website and everyone was saying DON'T CLICK IT, its awful. what did i do??? I clicked it. OMG why????
my friends tricked me into going to that site. Pure horror. They went to the site and then minimized it, and when they brought me to the computer, they showed me the site It was up to 500 spins at the moment and the site said "your officially gay now"
