Hi Guys
I bought my copy of MMF 2 well over a year ago but i just can't adjust. I keep meaning to take the big step forword but i always seem to put it off. I've been making Block Master well over 2 years and migrating my project really scares me. The main problem is the drawing tool, with TGF 1 its so simple to use but in MMF 2 it just seems so alien and complicated compared to what i'm used too. There are some new features i really like such as the alpha effect but i'm just too scared to migrate indefinitely. Does anyone else remember going through this change or could offer any good advise on this subject as it would be most appreciated.
One quick note why on the event editor on MMF 2 does some of condition text appear in red as this doesn't happen on TGF 1
Thanks for your surport guys!

Immediate conditions are written in red. The red indicates that the actions for the event will occur at the instant the red condition occurs. They're also pretty quick so having a lot of actions means some of them will be less likely to occur. Immediate conditions (as I said, the red ones) are only immediate if they are the first one in the event, and ignore the usual event order.
I don't know what to say about the MMF2-TGF1 transition, but when I went through it, it was really easy. I just think MMF2 is so much cooler-looking in terms of interface and such.

This was me rather recently. I didn't do anything but force myself to switch. I still get fed up with MMF2's interface from time to time, but scaling and rotating during runtime alone are enough reason to switch. Then there's the higher object count, support for more colors, more stability, lots of stuff. Just make yourself do it.
If nothing else, draw in TGF and import into MMF2.
Your project may not make the jump. Balding Overweight Man didn't. Import it and test for bugs, and then decide whether to switch before or after the project is done.

i used to start projects in TGF1 then transfer them over to MMF2 but now i just go straight for MMF2. It doesn't take long before all those strange quirks with MMF2 become second nature.
Also TGF1's fastloop extension isn't compatible with MMF2's loops so making engines in TGF1 first was a pain after I decided to start actually using them.
The editor is actually not much different from TGF1 anyway. It just has a few features that are added on and very few changes that don't take long to get used to. Like adding new frames to an active object or adding new directions.
There is nothing to be worried about anyway lol.

I agree MMF 2 is very stable, i often transfer my game into MMF 2 to test or demo it to friends. Your right Andy it is pretty similar apart from the stupied drawing tool lol! Its like they've taken a massive step back, to be honest i think this is the only thing holding me back. I intend to use alpha transparency effects at some point especially when i create some water scenes, think i'm gonna hold off though as long as i can
Thanks for the surport its great hereing your experience on this subject

Andy meant the drawing tool wasn't that different, though I'm inclined to say that it's very different. It's just by comparison with MMF1.5 that it looks similar.
They both have perks, and both have quirks.

Got to be honest though, alot of the Daily Click regulars like your selfs are very intelligent and learning the new program i bet was easyer then completeing Super Mario 1. I'm just an avarge joe that wants to make games i think that Click Team have seriously way over complicated things with these new products. I will learn MMF 2 but thats only because i know TGF 1 so well. I just can't see new people taking to these products. Don't get me wrong though Click Teams have been a dream come true for giving me the power to make my own games but it does worrie me abit because i want them too do well!

They need to dum it down a little with the next generation of products, or at least have a junior version simlar to Klik and play or TGF 1
