Okay, so. One hundred prisoners are to be transferred to a special new prison. In this new prison they are kept in individual rooms, allowed no contact with each other. There is a Room 101, containing only a light bulb and a switch which operates it. The switch begins in the 'off' position. Randomly, one prisoner is chosen and led to Room 101, where they may change the position of the switch if they wish, or leave it as it is. This process is repeated until a prisoner correctly states "everyone has visited this room now", at which point they are all released. If anyone says this without it being true then they are all executed.
The prisoners have one night, before being transferred, to work out a strategy that will ensure their eventual release. What can they do?
It'll all blow over.

Does each prisoner get only one visit to the room? ... or can they be chosen to go to the room more than once each?

You and your tricksy logic puzzles.
If they're in the room and have not turned the light off and the light is on, they turn the light off. If it's on and they've turned it off before, they leave it alone. Only one designated person turns the light back on when it's off. Assuming they can go repeatedly and indefinitely, the designated person just has to turn the light on 99 times.
But I suppose since it starts in the off position, it would be better to reverse the on and off in that solution.
This puzzle seems very familiar. I may very well have heard it in the past. Or I'm just a genius.
No wait, I was thinking of the three bulbs and a staircase thing.

If there was no plan, and they wanted us to fiddle with the light switch and guess ... and the guards wait outside the room while you do it ... I'd take the bulb out of the socket, break it, and use it to cut the guards throat, then release the other prisoners with his key.

Congrats OMC!
I didn't figure this one out, but I finally figured out the real answer to the probability riddle.
The answer is to give a valid explanation that loops logically. You must find a way to leave the loop with a logical explanation and return to the beginning. It's like in programming how if you're running a loop that never ends, it'll crash the program unless you provide a way out of the loop that logically works. But once you do provide that logical means of escape, the program runs fine.

The probability riddle was a classic paradox. A paradox, man.

I'm either not smart enough, or too lazy, to think such things through. The above would be my solution too

All right, smart guys:
Three gods A, B, and C are called, in some order, True, False, and Random. True always speaks truly, False always speaks falsely, but whether Random speaks truly or falsely is a completely random matter. Your task is to determine the identities of A, B, and C by asking three yes-no questions; each question must be put to exactly one god. The gods understand English, but will answer all questions in their own language, in which the words for yes and no are 'da' and 'ja', in some order. You do not know which word means which.
