Competitions don't work. How about that earlier competition that had five teams? All five ended up with vaporware.

Clickteam really needs to release something revolutionary and low-priced or for free.

thats not to say all competitions will fail like the Super awesome team competition. The time limit for that was just too tight given the fact we are humans with lives and such.

Team competitions are also a different beast. I don't think it would have done any better even if the deadline were farther away.

I'm still glad we had that one though. We were close to having a complete game and it was fun.

Even if competitions don't "revive" the community, we should still have them.

Actually, making crap games isn't a bad idea if you want a community. The community was much more active when people were making a lot of simple things, rather than working on epic projects. I've been working on epic projects since KNP, and haven't released any

How about some nice Clickteam mugs/keyfobs or something similar.

Cheap and cheerful and is something bound to impress the ladies in the office , er I mean a small something to remember your achievement.

I think a compo is in order, halloween is not that far away.

That's probably a better option. If we have enough interest in a competition we'll see if Clickteam will donate some smaller things.

Would everyone be opposed to a split the pot sort of thing? It would be a pain to get people to bother, I guess. We need a prize fund.

Given my current financial situation, I would totally jump into a competition if money was involved. And of course, winners could also have the option of donating said money to TDC instead of it's not up their alley.

No would turn down prize money!

I wouldn't at least.

I think another mini-game competition is in order.
It was easier to make stuff for because there weren't many stipulations on what your game had to be.

I think OMC was proposing that willing people throw donations into a pot for prizes, not monetary prizes to the cometitors.
