Still, I am here with an idea. I’ll post the full idea and details later as I get them. But the idea is this.
A couple of weeks ago, I thought of all the indie news I see and hear and I realized something. I have not (or may have not paid attention to see) seen anything from my local area. Granted, I’m in a small little town in the middle of no-where, but still. There has got to be some other indie devs in my area. Right? Right? So, I had this thought.
Why not make a shout out to the depths of the internet of where I reach and see if anybody wants to meet for a cup of coffee or two and a jam session? So, that’s what I’m doing. I want to find out if there’s any, any other indie developers within my local area. Which includes my home state of Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. Missourians are welcome too. Even though I live about 2 hours from St. Louis.
While I’m not expecting somebody from 150-200 miles away to get here in Fairfield Illinois, I’m hoping that there’s at least one or two other local developers. I mean, haven’t you ever found yourself wondering if there were other indie developers in your area? Well, I don’t want to wonder anymore. I’m actually hoping to meet at least just one other indie dev. Do any of you live near here and want to meet up? Please let me know!
I’ll post more details later, but, that’s pretty much the idea.

I'm about 5 hours away from you in Chicago. I'm down for some hangouts, although I do not possess a vehicle, and 5 hours is quite a bit of a hike. Illinois is too long of a state, they need to cut it in half.
I might have a temporary job opportunity in Champaign, which cuts the trip in half to about 2 and a half hours, so we'll see how that goes.

Sometimes it still "amazes" me how big the U.S. really is... what i mean is, it's not that big a deal for someone living across the UK for me as it's usually a 3-4 hour car journey tops.
For you guys, that's like crossing a state, and you have 50 of those. That makes a very big country! And it kinda makes me sound like an idiot!
That is outrageous, if anything they should just make them different countries. The idea that anyone has control over that many people anyways is ludicrous, if anyone can really control someone else in the first place.

First off, if your thinking the end of Illinoise to be pronounced like "noise", then no, that's not how you say it. People pronounce it both ways but the "noise" way is wrong.
@horrendousGames: that's a bummer. there was someone else in a chat who was gonna be near the chicago area but nowhere near me. sigh
@oldmanclayton: can you be bribed into giving away secrets?
Thanks alot though guys. I'll keep up on this thread for a while at least.

I still know plenty of people in Illinois that uses the "noise" pronunciation, ironically the same kind of people that say "Jewels" instead of "Jewel". (the store, not the object)

At least you're not one of the many that make fun of us for not riding bikes everywhere.
theres at least 3 of us that live in california, that have still yet to meet up. myself, ricky garces, and jackson hines (aka KetchupMaster). jackson is only about an hour or 2 from me, but ricky lives near sacramento which is a good 6-8 hour drive. hopefully we will all meet up eventually tho.
jeff lives in oregon i believe, so maybe some sort of pax get together next year would be cool, which is in seattle wa.
