Anyone entering?

It just started an hour ago, with a pretty decent theme - "It’s Dangerous to go Alone! Take this!".

It is (was) a 48hr game-making competition.
Everything's explained here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/rules/

You're too late to enter this one, but they're held every few months, so maybe next time...

Interesting theme though, like AA says.
I was thinking mini-adventure, where you're given a random item (or items) at the start of the game, and then there's a different way to complete the game depending on what item(s) you get.

I took a metaphorical stab at it, but ultimately misjudged the workload and missed both deadlines. It's difficult to put a time estimate on problem solving. My goal was to have as much fun during the process as possible--this gave birth some beautiful voice-overs given by my friends that simply must be done justice (some were even done over the phone). I expect to finish in the next week or so.

My way of interpreting the theme was to repeat variations of the phrase in the plot ad nauseum.

Some photographs:

The cast of characters. From left to right: Drunk Mom, Dad, Zamphax 79, Son, Bluce Ree, Gorilla Grylls, Mecha Salvador Dali, and Neil. Each one has at least one line of text in the game.

An early screenshot for screenshotsaturday.

I also plan to write up and examine just where I went wrong to cause me to fail to meet the deadline, but first thing's first.
Over 300 people entered and the atmosphere was unbeatable. A person can grow significantly during 48 hours. Definitely something I will do again.
